CPAP toppled over/water issue - Visitor - 05-29-2016
My Resmed airsense 10 toppled over. The hose filled with some water. I woke from the gurgling noise.
My initial reaction is to let the machine dry out. Is this necessary? It means a night without it. Can that be avoided? For my previous machine I was told that if it toppled, water would get in and it could be damaged. Not sure about this one.

If water got into the air-path of the blower unit, then it could damage the sensors that measure pressure and flow.
I'd try turning it on; and let it sort of blow dry itself.
The only way you'll know if it will work tonight is to try it.
It's very important to make sure a CPAP machine cannot be pulled off a night stand by pulling on the hose -- even if you have to drive some nails in your furniture. (There are solutions that have a little more finesse.)

Having it on the floor results in sucking in floor air - full of dust and dust mites. Just so you know...
I've toppled mine off the nightstand - always fall humidifier down, so water hasn't been an issue.

I would have blown warm air through it, then when I thought it was clear of any water, start it up and hope for the best.
If it was running when it toppled over the chances of water getting in are a lot less. It may have got in when you stopped it though!
The floor is not a good place for the machine, though when you get the machine most are told to have it there, but all that dust and mites and creepy crawlies! No thanks.
Warm air not hot as this might cause damage!

I keep my unit in a lower drawer with the hose coming out the back, and hanging from the headboard.
The humidifier is designed with two tubes that keep water from leaking into the machine in the event of an accident. Water in the tube won't hurt anything. Pull the humidifier chamber, and verify things are dry going towards the blower. If it's dry, no problem.

I was given a "Hozer" brand device with my loaner CPAP that suspends the hose above me. The hose is clipped to a sort of fishing rod device and prevents it from getting tangled. I'd have to do some pretty serious acrobatics to pull the machine over with that getup.
Only three nights in so far but I'll definitely buy a Hozer when I get my own unit after the trial. No doubt that's why they loaned my one with the loaner CPAP.
