$9.99 at 1800cpap in small and large. Don't seem to have any medium.

Thought some would like that deal.

Maybe because they sent all the mediums with masks they sold and now have the small and large masks left over. Ya think. Huh Oh-jeez

Meh, maybe . . . what I do know is that's just about half what I've been paying through a "preferred" supplier in my insurance network.

My only objective was to alert folks to what appears to be a good deal on the pillows based on comparing prices online, pure and simple. Tell me, who's gaming who when the pillow piece is sold elsewhere for $18-20? I'd think you'd have to know the wholesale pricing structure (and I don't) of the different configurations to know if someone is getting rich off of us.

I'd like to see that stretchy headgear at $10, too . . .

I was not criticizing your post of the good price but trying to let everyone know how it probably came about. Everyone can make up their own minds from there.

The masks are sold to the DME with the small, medium, and large pillows in the package. Some of the DMEs repackage the mask with only one size pillows when they sell the mask. My suspicion is that the larges and smalls that are on sale are a result of this repackaging. Yes they can sell them at a good price because it is almost pure profit.

And they are almost pure profit because you and I are subsidizing them when we pay our insurance premium. It seems like a trivial thing for them to do this but multiply it by millions of transactions and it is symptomatic of problems with healthcare in general.

I am sorry I am so sensitive to this, I live in Florida where we have a Governor that was CEO of the company that holds the honor of being convicted of the largest Medicare fraud in history - and then he got elected to governor. I guess we believe in rewarding the successful regardless of what they succeeded in.

They are definetly repackaging the P10 mask. Their site offers the complete mask with all 3 pillows for a higher price.

The fact that ResMed allows this repackaging baffles me.

Believe me, I know from experience Sad than when your order their pillows for the discounted price, you will get pillows "repackaged" and the pillows will come in a zip locked baggie, not the manufacture packaging.

When I order pillows from my DME or any other supplier, I get one pillow packaged in the RedMed original package, sealed and never opened.

I know a lot of folk don't care about this as long as it's cheap...but I don't really want pillows that are repackaged and handled by several people before I receive them.

And really, if they do that, how do you know that those pillows are not from masks that have been once sold and returned???

RezMed doesn't care because it is not their problem, it is the medical insurance companies problem. I have no evidence, but I am willing to bet that you insurance pays the price for all three. So, I am more concerned about supporting the fraud than the possible infections - you can sterilize it after you get it.
