Recommend pulse oximeter for overnight recording and uploading to Mac - ArthurP - 03-28-2017 Hello All I would like to obtain a pulse oximeter that can record my SpO2 while sleeping and enable me to upload the recording to my Mac (OS X Yosemite, 10.10). In particular, I'd like to see a plot of the SpO2 overnight, with enough resolution so that declines below a threshold are visible. If I need to transfer the recording to my Android phone on the way from the oximeter to the Mac that's OK. What device and software combinations have folks found reliable? Thanks Arthur RE: Recommend pulse oximeter for overnight recording and uploading to Mac - Beej - 03-28-2017 We have an equipment review section and a search function. Have you checked these yet? The pulse ox I have may be PC only. RE: Recommend pulse oximeter for overnight recording and uploading to Mac - pholynyk - 03-28-2017 I believe SleepyHead on the Mac can read most of the Contec meters it supports, although some people have reported problems with drivers. I'm especially not sure about driver support for Yosemite. I've not heard of success importing data from any of the Android oximeters, nor any that I would prefer over the Contec oximeters - not that I think the Contec meters are particularly great. The Masimo (sp?) is supposed to be very good, and also too expensive for my needs and my budget. |
