what percentage indicates adequate mask fit? - wrinck - 11-13-2017 I had been using a respironics dreamstation a little over a year and I used an ESON mask. My mask fit usually was in the 98-100% range. The problem was the mask kept leaking air into my right eye to the extent that I got chronic kerato-conjunctivitis. So, I switched to a mask I had used successfully with an old respironics machine (mask was a Respironics Comfort Blue). That solved the air blowing into my eyes problem, but the mask fit dropped to 58%. By repositioning and much uncomfortable strap tightening the mask fit increased to 87%. Is this adequate? Are there any other options that might be more comfortable? Thanks RE: what percentage indicates adequate mask fit? - Walla Walla - 11-13-2017 Try nasal pillows. You might have better luck with the mask seal. RE: what percentage indicates adequate mask fit? - sonicboom - 11-13-2017 Not sure about Respironics but I believe the mask fit for Resmed is 70% to get the smiley face on the screen. I have found the Brevida to provide some relief for dry eye problems. RE: what percentage indicates adequate mask fit? - trish6hundred - 11-14-2017 Hi wrinck, WELCOME! to the forum.!
