Want to increase hours (uninterrupted) to 8 from 5.5 - JT01 - 02-18-2018 [attachment=4498][attachment=4497] I am a year into CPAP, and in past 90 days I finally got AHI <1 . Avg hours is 5.5, even though I am in bed for 8; I want to get complete night of therapy. Often when I have 7-8 hours I end up with a mask on/off after 4 hours. Ideal pressure seems to be 9-12. But I just changed to 8.5-10.5. Been mostly looking at simple DreamStation display...now looking at SH. I like AFLEX 3. I tried disabling but got aerophagia; I have not played around with pressure relief much. I find minimal adaptive humidification in winter (dry) conditions is best: humid 1/ heat 2. I recently bought Dreamstation Travel Case (no humidifier) and I often get a better AHI when using it , but I can only tolerate for 1-2 nights (otherwise bloody nose or nasal irritation). I am trying to determine what else to change so that I am more likely to get more uninterrupted hours at a <1 AHI. RE: Want to increase hours (uninterrupted) to 8 from 5.5 - Sleeprider - 02-18-2018 These results are great and don't show excessive pressure swings. If you find this comfortable, you have arrived. If you find the occasional pressure changes of 1.5 cm to be disruptive, you can avoid that by setting minimum and maximum pressure to the same value (8.5). If you are comfortable as-is, don't change anything. RE: Want to increase hours (uninterrupted) to 8 from 5.5 - freetime - 02-18-2018 Is your question, How do I keep my mask on for the duration of the night? Do you remember taking it off? Maybe it's a trade off, higher AHI, within reason, and higher humidity but you keep your mask on for the duration. |
