Sleep/Wake junk ? - jbee18 - 05-29-2018 Hi again, It's been a while since I posted but have a question about the last hour or so before rising. I have been on pap therapy now for 97 days, the bulk of which has been CPAP 10 CM. Just recently changed to APAP 12 - 15. Still have not settled on sweet spot for pressures but AHI was 5.93 over last 7 days. Sleepyhead shows OA average as 0.54 and CA average as 4.82 during this period. Average hours of use 07:37. My question is more about the fact that on average 60% of the CA events occur during the hour before I get up when I am in a semi sleep state. Can these events be ignored as I am not truely sleeping at this time? Thanks, Jack RE: Sleep/Wake junk ? - jbee18 - 05-29-2018 Should have posted these snapshots. Unfortunately, without EEG signal your CPAP can't know if you are asleep or not so the CPAP shows them all. RE: Sleep/Wake junk ? - Sleeprider - 06-01-2018 You have large clusters of CA that appear to be confined to sleep disruption, but I would not dismiss entirely as SWJ. You seem to have primarily CA events anytime, and it's worth considering what your breathing looks like even at times when there are no events. If you see a lot of periodic oscillation, or if you feel fatigued, it may be worth investigating further. There isn't really much that can be done with the CPAP settings to mitigate this. |
