System requirements for Encore Pro - Chalkie - 06-25-2018
I am looking at buying a cheap laptop just to run Encore Pro...time s money and a clean install of Windows on my existing laptop (where a failed install of Encore Pro lurks) will be a laborious job.
Would this be up to it? Even with 2GB RAM?

I would, however, caution against running much else on that machine. I have found the Encore software to be a bit taxing on the processor and RAM. It also runs an SQL database.
I would recommend getting as much memory (RAM) as you can possibly afford - 4GB will allow more applications to be open at the same time. Also, between your Windows install, this software, and other basic items you will be using up just below half of your hard drive space. There will not be a lot of room for anything else.
If this machine is dedicated to just Encore Pro - I would say go for it. If you are planning on doing other things, more hard drive and RAM are a must.

if you choose Windows 7 as your OS, 2GB should be fine
if Windows 10, def 4GB
