Heated hose not heating - somnia16 - 11-13-2018 I have used my heated hose with humidification on Airsense10 autoset and it has worked fine (other than two leaks in humidifier chambers I had to replace!). I have been waking with a dry mouth recently and while the humidifier chamber water is going down and is warm, the hose does not feel warm (it did before). Is it possible that the heated hose has to be changed and is faulty? I feel as if the humidified air must not be coming through the hose. Any thoughts? Is it possible that the heated hose has to be changed and is faulty? I feel as if the humidified air must not be coming through the hose. Any thoughts? Possible, sure. But the heated hose just prevents condensation in the hose. The actual humidification does not depend on the heated hose at all, and the water level going down overnight is all the proof you need that your humidifier is working. You'd find water in your hose if you were getting rain out from lack of sufficient heat in your hose. You can get a dry mouth from mouth leaks when using a nasal mask. It is quite common and the subject of many threads here. I'm currently using a nose and mouth mask because I was getting a dry mouth from using my Dreamwear nasal cushion mask (which wasn't a problem when I first started using it). RE: Heated hose not heating - Gideon - 11-13-2018 There is little to no heat generated by a "heated hose". Its purpose is to prevent rainout/condensation rather than to warm air. It never feels "warm" to me. I do find that it improves the comfort of the system when I use the Heated Hose. That said it is certainly possible that it has failed for some reason. RE: Heated hose not heating - Walla Walla - 11-13-2018 I also would suspect the dry mouth from mouth breathing. One way to check the hose is unplug it than plug it back in. On the screen it should show climateline connected. If not try wiping off the electrical contacts on the hose and try to connect it again. RE: Heated hose not heating - SarcasticDave94 - 11-13-2018 a FWIW: personally, I perceive a bit of heat on the hose upon first starting up, but then it seems to quickly fade. What I mean is when tucking my heated hose under the blanket, I can feel it heating up just slightly but to me it's noticeable. Note I run my heated hose ALWAYS on the top setting, 86 degrees I think. PS my heated hose is 1 yr old and still going RE: Heated hose not heating - mesenteria - 11-13-2018 A year in, my experience is the same as Dave's. I routinely draw the hose across my chest and cover it with the blanket. If I feel the hose below the blanket, it seems warm very shortly, but as the night wears it doesn't seem to feel as warm. Not sure why that is. Even so, I don't get any rain-out. RE: Heated hose not heating - ardenum - 11-13-2018 hey did you step on it or something? RE: Heated hose not heating - yankees123 - 11-13-2018 You can always use the run warmup feature. This will heat the water and will be already warm once you start up the machine. RE: Heated hose not heating - Sleeprider - 11-13-2018 Look at your tube temperature settings. All options are below body temperature, and it won't feel warm.
