Air deflector for partner protection against air stream - AtomicLuft - 02-11-2019

Hello all,

The air coming out from my mask is disturbing my wife, because it blows to her face or neck. Therefore, I wonder if it could be possible to design an air deflector, that would blow air to another direction. Do some of you have any clue on how to design such a deflector ? Do you know if files for 3D printer exist ?  Unsure

I am using a ResMed Mirage Quattro.

Thank you in advance.

Best Regards.

A more modern mask like the Resmed Airfit F20 solves that issue with its quiet elbow

I agree, the quiet elbow is very silent plus it does a great job diffusung the air.

We sleep back to back--no problems with the CPAP exhaust for either of us

I have the quiet elbow and my wife says I sleep silently.

180 degree difference from the way I used to.  Bigwink

I've ended up really liking the "Aloha" mask, but it does blow pretty strongly (and LOUD if it hits a sheet or pillow).
I cut a postage-stamp size piece from a filter and hot-glued it to the elbow.
Problem solved.
