Aflex or Cflex? - zzz1 - 02-14-2019

I'm on my 3rd or 4th week of CPAP with the Dreamstation and I just realized that it was set to Cflex.

Having never used Aflex, should I just leave the machine at Cflex?  I don't seem to be having a problem with Cflex.  I just changed the Flex setting from 3 to 1 and definitely feel more well rested in the morning.

Would there be a benefit in changing to Aflex?  Is it a newer and more effective technology?

Thanks for the welcome!

I did see that thread. Aside from comfort, I’m wondering how cflex and aflex impact therapy?

I’m also seeing aflex described as training wheels for CPAP so I’m wondering if I should just stick with cflex?

I tried cflex set to 1 last night and did wake up with that sensation of sticking your head out a window while the car was moving and not being able to inhale. Not that I do that anymore. Not really.

My overall AHI was better, but it was only one night.

I just realized that my DreamStation can do cflex and aflex so I’m starting down that rabbit hole...,
