Article on Algorithms - zzz1 - 02-19-2019 I've been trying to find as much information as I can on the differences between CPAP machine algorithms. I came across this dated article that seems to provide some insight into the differences. Unfortunately, it also seems like this information is held close to the vest by various manufacturers or perhaps only detailed at continuing education type conferences. Because the article is 10 years old, it may speak more toward a manufacturer's philosophy than how exactly the algorithms work today and now so please take it with a grain of salt. I would also be interested in any other information folks have on the algorithms. At the end of the day the algorithm is key, but also the most difficult piece of information to uncover. http://www.sleepreviewmag.com/2009/09/auto-adjusting-positive-airway-pressure/ RE: Article on Algorithms - Fats Drywaller - 02-19-2019 FYI & FWIW, a related discussion thread: Comparative Analysis of 8 APAP Machines ... which points to papers at http://openres.ersjournals.com/content/1/1/00031-2015 and https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4481055/ RE: Article on Algorithms - Fats Drywaller - 02-21-2019 A little bit more. Nothing technical here, and of course Resmed was not giving away any trade secrets, but I guess it's worth mentioning. This summary of Resmed's algorithms is thanks to the heads-up from: (12-08-2017, 11:16 AM)phrogpilot73 Wrote: Here's Resmed's site detailing it, in case anyone else is curious as I was: https://www.resmed.com/epn/en/healthcare-professional/airsolutions/innovation-and-technology.html Resmed page since deleted, but available in the wayback machine's archive, so use this link instead: http://web.archive.org/web/20171112213325/https://www.resmed.com/epn/en/healthcare-professional/airsolutions/innovation-and-technology.html RE: Article on Algorithms - zzz1 - 02-26-2019 Here is some interesting information on therapy mode (aflex, cflex, cpap).
