VirtuClean and AirMini - FeelingBetter - 06-04-2019 Can/should one use VirtuClean to clean AirMini, hose, Humid(X), mask? If so, how given there is no humidifier to put the mask in as with an S9? RE: VirtuClean and AirMini - Melman - 06-04-2019 virtuClean is one of several misnamed ozone genrating devices that does not clean. True, ozone is an effective sanitizer but only on clean surfaces. It does not remove any organic material such as skin oils or dried saliva and it does not penetrate well. Use it if you wish but it should not replace regular cleaning with mild detergent. RE: VirtuClean and AirMini - SarcasticDave94 - 06-04-2019 I'll ditto what Melman said, although he's vastly more qualified to know bacteria, etc. info. Unless I'm greatly mistaken, there's no product available anywhere that eliminates manual washing of the xPAP items. RE: VirtuClean and AirMini - kotaKat - 06-05-2019 So... someone should make a CPAP dishwasher? Plug the hose in on both ends, plug the mask in, close the box... let it wash and dry? Although not exactly what you're thinking about, ResMed (and probably others as well) have a humidifier tank that's dishwasher safe. The negative is that it's not as durable as the standard tank.
