Dream Station question - homedoc - 06-05-2019 Hi there folks, I have been using a DreamStation APAP for about 2 years and my results seem to be highly variable. I have a couple of questions to ask and will be grateful for any help you can provide. (1) I sometimes have to take opiod pain meds and they seem to really hike up my AHI. Is this true, and if so, is there anything I can do to correct this? (2) I notice from studying SleepyHead graphs that the automatic pressure increase function seems to be sluggish. With reference to the attached screen dump, the AHI graph shows an upward ramp from about 2:30 AM to about 4:00 AM. However, the Pressure graph slows a slow increase in pressure during this period which does not reverse the ramp for about 90 minutes. This is a relatively minor example from last night's data, and I have seen graphs in which the AHI can go as high as 30 before the ramp reverses. Is there a way to tweak the APAP function so that it ramps up a bit more quickly and/or aggressively and thereby reverses the ramp sooner before it gets to such a high level? RE: Dream Station question - DeepBreathing - 06-05-2019 G'day Homedoc. Welcome to Apnea Board. The Philips machines are known to have a fairly slow reaction time compared to the equivalent Resmed. Probably the best you can do is to raise your minimum pressure so that response can start from a higher base. You could also raise the maximum pressure - to allow the machine some "headroom". Could I ask you to post a full screen shot of your daily page that includes all the left side-bar information please? That will give us more information to base some advice on.
