No Data listed after first OSCAR import [On a Mac] - cjmani - 07-22-2019

Hi all, I'm new to the board and a fairly recent sleep apnea diagnosis (May 2019).  I found OSCAR after reviewing cpap YT videos (Lankylefty27). I followed the download instructions, inserted the SD card, clicked OK when shown the found Resmed file location, and imported 121 events (or whatever OSCAR called the files). But after the download was finished (which took all of about 10 seconds) when I go to Daily, Overview, or Statistics, there is no data at all: "No Sessions Present" and "No Data Available".

What did I do wrong?  Any help would be appreciated.

Computer:

iMac running Mojave 10.14.2

Cpap:

ResMed Autosense 10 Autoset/N20 mask

thx

Chris

Hi cjmani - Welcome

You did create a profile first?

RE: No Data listed after first OSCAR import - cjmani - 07-22-2019

Thank You Crimson Nape (Red Neck?)!

Yes, I created a profile first and the profile name and information appear to be correct (profile, ventilator brand and mode, Last Import, Name, etc.).
I've uploaded screenshots below illustrating what I'm talking about.

thx,

Chris

S-h-h-h-h-h! You'll let the secret out and everybody will know who I am. Big Grin

Go to the Help -> About OSCAR. Look on the right side and select the "Show data folder".  Do you have a folder within your personal directory?

Ah, secret's safe with me.

CN, when I re-launched OSCAR, my profile apparently had not been saved and I had to create a new profile again and re-enter my personal data. I then imported from my ResMed SD card and again 121 files  were confirmed to have imported, but unfortunately no data appears in the Daily and Overview sections. How do I save my profile so it comes up when I open the software?

I went to the HELP/About OSCAR page and clicked on the Show Data Folder link, but it did not respond.

thx

Chris

Crimson Nape: I noticed that my version of OSCAR is 1.0.1-r-1 and in the OSCAR Help page the version is 1.0.0-r-2.

Could this be my problem?

thx,

Chris

You happen to have the one OS I don't use.  It seems like the OS won't allow the OSCAR Data folder to be created.   We have some very knowledgeable Mac users here and I'm hoping one will jump in and provide the magic key.

As far as the r1 vs r2 versions; you could try installing the newer one.  The worst thing that could happen at this point is it doesn't work.

Sorry I can't help any further.

I'm not sure why there would be any issue creating the OSCAR data folder. In testing against the betas of Catalina (which cause OSCAR to crash, so don't try it yet!), I found that it prompts you to allow OSCAR to access your Documents folder. But that's apparently a new feature to Catalina.

Could you go to Help > Show Debug Pane and paste the contents here or in a PM?
