Patch cord for heated hose? - S.L. Ping Beauty - 08-31-2019

Is there a patch cord of sorts for heated hoses so that I can place my O2 bleed adapter at the machine before the heated hose?

I would rather locate the adapter (shown below) closer to the machine and not at the end of the heated hose before it transitions to the mask.  I can physically place the adapter at the machine before the heated hose connection but if I do I will lose the circuits and benefits of a heated hose.

Is there such an item?

Resmed sells a heated hose with oxygen bleed adapter.  Search: Resmed Climateline MAX Oxy Heated Tube.  Price is 50-$60

Thanks, Sleeprider,  for that info... that solves my problem.  I can use the one linked at home and use my regular heated hose for travel when I do not bring the concentrator.

I find that outputting oxygen at the beginning of the hose and not close to the mouth at the end, you get less oxygen because some of it gets diffused, so check your O2%saturation for a few nights in case you don't get enough of it.

Apparently the MAX Oxy does not work with Airsense 10.  Called to order one and the nice lady stated they are for the AS 9.
Bummer!

On Edit:
Well, don't always trust a salesperson... after digging around (after she told me there is no heated tube for AS10 with O2 port) I ended up finding one!

I cannot recall exactly why, but the O2 input has to be close to the machine.

Here's a thought & thinking outside the box...

Why couldn't you just buy a SoClean humidifier tank adapter and connect the O2 to the tank nipple before the hose?  The tank would have a higher concentration of O2, but who cares?  Does that pose any kind of problem?

I think this could be a clean and super simple solution.

RayBee-  never knew there was such an item,  thanks for the tip!

I might have considered it, but I went ahead and ordered a proper heated hose with port.

I recently received a complete new machine kit  but still have the old case, power supply and accessories.    I do not use O2 when I travel and am going to make a pseudo-partial travel kit with the regular heated hose as part of it and use the new one with port adapter for the home use.  When traveling, all I will need to do is just transfer the physical machine to the travel case and head out.

That cover would solve my situation, but I like the idea of not needing to do a full break down of equipment just to travel.

Hope this helps you SL. Post up some sort of update after some usage if you don't mind. My future will probably include oxygen supplement probably via a portable oxygen concentrator. I'm not bad enough off yet to meet medical necessity, but COPD and mix in bouts of bronchitis and pneumonia play on the oxy levels.
