OSCAR / ResScan SD imported data discrepancies - Immo - 11-17-2019

Hi

A long-time user of SleepyHead and now Oscar, I noticed a drastic change in both leaks and respiratory rates after my AirSense 10 machine was replaced by a brand new one.

As I was unable to get information from either the company that leases the machine or by ResMed, I peeked very quickly at the OSCAR import code (my C++ skills being pretty low and outdated) and I downloaded ResScan.

After importing the lastest data on both software from the SD card, I noticed that OSCAR's IAH and leak data did not match ResScan’s.

I suspect that ResMed updated their binary (sigh) export format, which is no longer read correctly by OSCAR. Given that Mark Watkins seems to have reverse-engineered this binary format, I also suspect ResMed are not willing to document it…

Best regards,

Olivier

Olivier, I can point the OSCAR development team to this thread. Would you be willing to share your SD data from that machine so we can look at the code? What is the firmware version? Firmware is in the clinical menu in the About section.

The about menus isn't very clear but I presume the firmware "number" is SX567-0306.

I don't mind sharing my data with the developers, how do you suggest I proceed? Should I send you a private message with a link to last night's archive for instance?

Make a zipped copy of the entire SD card and put it in my dropbox,  I'll make it available to the rest of the OSCAR development team.

Done!

Unfortunately, the zipped image is missing the STR.edf and Identification.tgt and Identification.crc files which are particularly important in distinguishing machines.

Archangle wrote a brief wiki article that may help in creating a complete zipped copy: http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php/Archangle:Saving_SD_Card_Data

Please make another copy.

Didn't think you needed more information than the model name and firmware version but I guess that makes it much easier to start debugging. Anyway I uploaded a new archive including the identification files missing from the previous upload, as you requested.

We, the OSCAR team will actually use your data to import into our test versions of OSCAR to evaluate. The import is the same as an SD Card so we need a full copy of your SD card.

Thanks.

Hi,

Would you have any update on the discrepancies I noticed between OSCAR and ResScan? Was the copy of the SD card I sent you of any use?
