OSCAR reports fixed pressues - PhoebeAnn - 03-09-2020 Just started using a Dreamstation Auto BiPAP, and OSCAR reports: Philips Respironics DreamStation Auto BiPAP PAP Mode: Fixed Bi-Level
EPAP 6.0 IPAP 10.0 (cmH2O) ...just wondering if this is an "Auto" machine, why are the pressures fixed? I suspect I'll find out as I read more about setting the pressures in the clinician manual. So far, only the DME salesman has touched it. RE: OSCAR reports fixed pressues - Gideon - 03-09-2020 Those are solid Fixed Bi-level settings. That is the mode, you should have an auto mode as well. RE: OSCAR reports fixed pressues - Sleeprider - 03-09-2020 Look for a Bauto or Auto BiPAP mode. Once that is selected you will be able to set EPAP min, Max apressure and PS min, PS max. RE: OSCAR reports fixed pressues - PhoebeAnn - 03-10-2020 It looks like this machine can be configured as my old one was (Auto CPAP, I think), so I think the DME guy did that (almost, but the two fixed pressures were wrong) to tide me over until the MD decided how to program the fancier BiPAP stuff. I see her next week. |
