How do you fix error code 1029 on a Resmed elite II

RE: Equipment - srlevine1 - 07-18-2020

Unfortunately, ResMed does not publish an error code list and restricts their repair manuals to verified repair stations. However, I was able to find out what an error code meant by calling a DME who repaired machines. Some that I called offered to troubleshoot my unit for a fee and then apply that fee to the cost of repairs. You might try asking one of the suppliers on the list below the banner head.

And, considering you have an older machine, you might be eligible for a replacement based on age and broken condition. Your insurance carrier may also have information on replacing machines, especially if you have Medicare.

I friend of mine suggested that the issue may be water corrosion involving build-up around the fan which may cause the motor to stop functioning. But, is not sure if you can verify this case without disassembling the machine. You may be able to clean off the gunk, lubricate where necessary, and see if that helps.

Best of luck.
