PulseOxi - set alarm? - Cubus - 08-07-2020 Hello, Background: I'm awaiting an arrival or Resmed S10 Autoset later next week, ordered from supplier 2. In the meantime I've had another "bad night" that was also recorded by my O2 Ring PulseOxi. I'm newb to all this. How significant, worrisome, SpO2 drops down to 79% are? (see report). Is it bad in the sleep apnea world, or nothing much to worry about? The O2Ring has a functionality to alarm via vibration should SpO2 level drop below predefined value. Would you recommend turning that feature on and if yes, at what value should it alert me noting my SpO2 average at night is 95-96%? Thank you. RE: PulseOxi - set alarm? - jaswilliams - 08-07-2020 I would use 89% as the threshold for alarm, if that is your want but you could just wait it out your machine will be there in a few more days, RE: PulseOxi - set alarm? - OpalRose - 08-07-2020 Check your events graph in OSCAR and line up the timing of the o2 drop. You may be able to determine what caused it. I also use the o2 Ring and have the alarm set to vibrate at 88%, although I normally stay at 93% or more. It only vibrated once in the couple months I've used it. The vibration isn't loud and it didn't wake me up right away. I just thought I was dreaming, and couldn't figure out where the sound was coming from. I would keep the alarm on, but try to import the oximeter data into OSCAR when you get your new machine. That way you can see what may be causing the drop. |
