Language setup - magborges - 02-27-2021
Hi! I'm new in using of OSCAR. I'm trying to configure it to use my language file (Translations_Portugues.pt_BR), but I don't know where to put it. I have already tried the "new folder structure" (/usr/share/OSCAR), but the program does not detect it. Can you help me? Thank you!
(OS Distribution: Linux pop-os 20.10 (Ubuntu))

You should have had a language selection during install. If you installed OSCAR using the default English version, go to Help > Change Language. OSCAR will close and a Language selection box will appear. Scroll down to your desired language and select it. OSCAR will restart in that language. Here is an image of the Language box:

Thank you, but there is only English language in normal instalation on Ubuntu:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install oscar
(I can't post an image file)
I downloaded the file translation at
(I cant' post a link too)
but I don't now where to put it.

DO NOT USE THE REPOSITORY VERSION! That was not submitted by the OSCAR development team and is not complete or up to date. Only use the download from the link OSCAR, or the link, in the black ribbon, at the top of every page on this site. The current version is 1.2.0.

I tried the option change language in oscar. It closes the app but it does not ask or show up any windows to select a new language.
I reopen the app and the same language is still there.
Any help is welcome!
