help selecting full face mask - harmonicamoon - 03-02-2021

Hello folks-

mY Resmed  S9 has a message that says motor life exceeded. I am thinking about the airsense 10 as a replacement.

my current mask is difficult to get parts for. SO, I am thinking about getting the dreamwear or the airfit 20.

I would appreciate any help you could supply. Also, what replacement parts i should have on hand.

Good to be back on the forum.

thanks all,

pako

Pako, the Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset is the current replacement for your S9. A good replacement parts inventory includes a spare tube, humidifier chamber and some filters. It's helpful to have extra mask cushions and depending on the mask, an extra headgear. As far as a mask, goes, I don't use a full-face, so don't have much to offer there.

I use and recommend the Resmed F30 or F30I.  They are full face masks but do not have a support to the forehead.  It seems much more open and the seal I get is great and I am a side sleeper.  With that being said masks are very individual and one mask fits great for one person is terrible for another.  To get a look at this one and others you may want,, take a look at youtube.  Almost all are on youtube, most are of people trying them and explaining good points and bad.  Don't just look at one that puts the mask on a mannequin -  watch ones with real people lying down with them on.
