O2 Insight Pro data on Mac??? - A KLERK - 03-04-2021

Can anyone give me a clue where to find the imported data from my O2 Ring, saved on my Mac?
  • Will import with Windows (by cable) erase the data from the ring?
  • Could I first import by Bluetooth to my Mac and later with cable connection also to Windows?
Any other experiences are greatly appreciated!

Based off the Windows version, look in your documents folder or search for the O2 Ring's serial number. Windows uses the ring's serial number for the folder name. Importing does not erase the data. The Insight program should have the Factory Reset option listed under the Configure section that will reset all warnings and delete the data. In the past I've used the Bluetooth connection with my Android, then downloaded the data via the USB/HID cable to my PC. Based on this, I would say,"Yes", to being able to use both connections without data loss.

Thanks, but I cannot even find anything recognizable in the hidden files! Meaning that searching proved useless: nothing found...

So I cannot import the data that I downloaded to my Mac...!?! That would be a pity, as these data are said to be better (higher res) than imported on Win...

The higher resolution is a bunch of malarkey. All data is recorded on a 4-second frequency. They just duplicate each reading.

Another new word: malarkey. But I understand, it is kind of nonsense. Still want to know where they are Smile

The term, "Malarkey", was popular during the WW2 era. It is a polite way of saying, BS! I've just watched "Band of Brothers" too many times.

Anyway, I have received a response from the manufacturer, telling me where the data resides on a Mac.
Very glad that it works, I wanted to add this to our Wiki... Only to find out that it is already there for almost a year...
Here it is: http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php/Viatom_File_Import scroll down to macOS.

..... just always first do a search in the Wiki if you want to find something...

I found the Wiki before I landed here.  I am not able to find the folder mentioned above.  I can see the library folder and all of the containers, but the container does not exist.

I also tried saving a binary file from my phone; however, it is not saved with an extension and OSCAR will not open it.

Is there some other way.

RE: O2 Insight Pro data on Mac??? - Crimson Nape - 08-06-2022

The binary file does not have an extension. The newer ViHealth apps prefix the device's model name to a 14 digit filename. The filename is Year(4)Month(2)Day(2)Hour(2)minute(2)Second(2). August 6, 2022 @ 8:25:30PM would be written as, 20220806202530.

This is the current location for the O2 Insight Pro data on my Mac:

Code:
/Users/yourusername/Library/Containers/com.viatom.O2PCViewer-BLE/Data/Library/Application Support/O2_Insight_Pro/DATA/serialnumber

Did you do a default install of O2 Insight Pro, or did you install it in a different location?

Double check you are in the Library under your username and not the main system Library.
