Aerophagia - pen123 - 03-06-2021

I feel like I'm asking too many questions.  However, when I lowered my EPR to 1, for the first time I started swallowing and burping air. Last night, I increased EPR to 2, but it still happened.  I can actually feel my mouth start to fill up with air and if I don't let it out of my mouth, I can tell it goes into my stomach (or somewhere). I've felt it occasionally, but not to this extent.

I've been using the CPAP for over a month and this has never happened.

It interrupts my sleep and is not very pleasant.

Why would this be happening now and what can I do about it? I've read possibly to reduce my pressure, but what would I reduce it to? It normally stays around 10. Also, reducing EPR but that seems to be when it started. Maybe that was just a coincedence.

Thanks again for any input.  It is greatly appreciated.

I've had aerophagia and GERD on occasion. I slept on my left side with an elevated head area. I've not had an AutoSet with EPR but I'm thinking higher EPR reduces air swallowing due to the pressure relief.

It's important to keep the air from getting into the mouth, but once it's there, don't swallow. Re-establish the suction and tongue control that keeps your mouth free of air, and let the bubble out.

Thanks for both of your replies. Should I change anything? It's so strange, or maybe not, that it just started happening.

If you can resolve this easy enough, I'd not change it.
