Need help with OSCAR [Installation] - MikeyT - 03-16-2021 I have tried several times to load OSCAR. Every time, I am told that I need to use the OSCAR migration tool, but I can't find that. Help! Let it be known that I am a dinosaur and have little knowledge of a computer. RE: Need help with OSCAR [Installation] - Crimson Nape - 03-16-2021 What is your computer's operating system? Windows, Mac, or Linux? Which version, Windows 98/X/7/8/10, etc? Also, 32 or 64 bit. RE: Need help with OSCAR [Installation] - MikeyT - 03-16-2021 Sorry--it's Windows 10, 64 bit. I think. RE: Need help with OSCAR [Installation] - pholynyk - 03-16-2021 The Data Migration tool is only neeeded if you have SleepyHead data that you wish to include in your OSCAR data. If you don't have any SleepyHead data, you can just skip that portion. The data migration code is included in OSCAR for those that want to copy old SleepyHead data into OSCAR. RE: Need help with OSCAR [Installation] - MikeyT - 03-16-2021 Every time, and I have tried multiple times, that I have attempted to install OSCAR, I'm told that I must run the OSCAR migration tool. I used Sleepy Head for several years, but I'd not complain if I didn't have to bring that stuff to OSCAR. RE: Need help with OSCAR [Installation] - Crimson Nape - 03-16-2021 When it prompts you for migration, just select the Cancel button. It seems that I have downloaded OSCAR, but I'm lost There is a shortcut on my start page, but when I try to open it, I still get the must migrate notice. I have read the "Running OSCAR" stuff, but I don't see any of those pages. I can't seem to open OSCAR at all. (I told you, I'm a computer idiot.) Edit: Can I uninstall Sleepy Head? Will doing that resolve my problem? |
