living with (some) leaks - hegel - 10-03-2021
I've been battling leaks forever. for a brief shining moment--actually about a year- my Airfit F30 gave me a super low leak rate--0 to 5, typically. that stopped and I switched to an Airfit P30i after trying four or more other options. My leak rate typically hovers around 10 with this. However my AHI is very low, under 2, no matter if my leaks are well over 10. I feel rested. So...I've decided for the moment to just accept leaks.
I've tried mouth taping and have no issues with it. But it doesn't help with leaks! Oddly, it can make leaks worse; in any case it's a wash in regards to leaks whether I tape or not. So I don't. I wear a neck collar though.
