SPo2 - cberistain - 10-24-2021

I'd like to get an spo2 meter and download the data into OSCAR.
do you have a recommendation as to which is the one that integrates with OSCAR with the fewest problems?
thanks.

What OS are you using? Windows, Mac, Linux?

RE: SPo2 - Crimson Nape - 10-25-2021

The Contec CMS-50 D+, E, F, and I series are the most economical recording oximeters. The newer models require a Windows only program to acquire the device's data. For a little more in initial cost, you can use the Viatom/Wellue oximeters. This brand offers download software for Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows. This provides more opportunities for a way of obtaining the device's data.

windows 10 desk top computer.

thank you...  windows 10 on a desk top computer ... I'll try to get the Contec CMS-50 D+

will the CMS50D-BT work as well??

RE: SPo2 - Crimson Nape - 10-25-2021

No, the CMS50D-BT is a regular oximeter with Bluetooth capability.   It does not allow for recording.  Be careful in using the "D+" (D-plus) model.  Since it is the only one that has all its electronics in the finger probe, the weight makes it difficult to remain on the finger.  Some members here have advised using adhesive tape to help keeping it on your finger. Also, downloading its data can be challenging. If I remember correctly, you will have to go to a specific menu item while your PC is looking for the device. While I listed the D+, it is the absolute minimum.

RE: SPo2 - cberistain - 10-25-2021

what would be a better choice than the D+ ?

RE: SPo2 - Crimson Nape - 10-25-2021

The "F" model is probably the next step up. It has single session recording capability and is wrist worn with a finger probe. By single session, it will record one session only. If you stop it and restart a recording, it will overwrite the previous session. You will either need to download the data prior to restarting, or leave it running all night.

thank you!

The CMS 50F is a decent recording model that you can get OSCAR to pull the data in after you download the free computer program. I've used it myself, and it works well.

I have a CMS50FF model, note the FF model has a different connector (barrel) on the finger stall
