Minimum Values Appear On Oscar Graph - Sleeper396 - 02-12-2022

Respiratory Rate, Minute Vent., and Tidal Volume now each have minimum values appearing, only as of January 26th for me. Is this a software change, or what?  Can someone explain what these minimum values mean and why they began to appear last month for me?  Please see attached graph.

Yes, this is a software change in OSCAR 1.3.1 to correct an issue that started with OSCAR 1.3.0 when importing ResMed data. Almost all of the data streams (minute vent, etc.) start off with some data points with a value of zero. Before OSCAR 1.3.0, OSCAR was discarding the first 40 seconds of the data streams so that this start-up effect was not visible. In 1.3.0, discarding of the first data points was discontinued, resulting in minimum values of 0.0 showing up for many statistical measures. This confused everyone and made the "minimum" value meaningless as it was now so often (not always) 0.0 because of that data artifact.

OSCAR 1.3.1 restores the discarding of initial data, but only about 20 seconds is discarded now. So we now have valid minimum values again.

Those three parameters are calculated from a sequence of values and therefore take some time to reach their actual values. The machines reports the interim values which often start at zero.
The current version v.1.3.1 skips the first 20 seconds of those values to avoid the false minimum.

Thank you.  Got it.
