White stains/marks after cleaning - LetMezz - 05-01-2022 Hi, When I clean my masks + tubes I notice white stains/marks appearing on the surface after it has dried. I'm just wondering what this is, and how to prevent this? I use warm tap water and mild soap . thx, Letmezz RE: White stains/marks after cleaning - Big Guy - 05-01-2022 No idea as to what it might be. When I clean my equipment, it's HOT water and Dawn liquid dish soap. RE: White stains/marks after cleaning - StratCat48 - 05-01-2022 Mineral content in the water, hard water? From a private well or municipal water supply? Hot water and Dawn dish liquid here also. RE: White stains/marks after cleaning - LetMezz - 05-01-2022 Thanks all for your response. Yes I do use the municipal water supply. I don't have Dawn liquid dish soap where I live. I think it is likely calcium from the tap water. I'll try cleaning it with water from my distiller, or/and with vinegar and see if that works... RE: White stains/marks after cleaning - Big Guy - 05-01-2022 Vinegar should get rid of all those marks / stains. I use it in my water reservoir as needed and it works great. |
