UARS help with treatment - christopher13 - 05-15-2022

Hi Smile
I'm a first-time poster on Apnea Board so if this breaks any of the rules I apologise.

I have been diagnosed with UARS (RDI 10.3) and the NHS (UK) were no help, so I have had to rent a device myself.  Initially I have trialled APAP with EPR turned to maximum, however I could not tolerate this well and had many central apnea events.  I then looked to rent a bilevel or auto-bilevel machine, however at the time this was not possible and so I currently have an ASV machine.

Although events have been reduced to zero, I am still waking up feeling horrible, and I would greatly appreciate any help in perhaps understanding why this is.  For much of the night my breathing pattern appears to be consistent, with a good wave shape, however this is interspersed with other periods of quite irregular breathing.

I have first attached an overview of the sleep.  I should say, I did not sleep as much as I normally would last night because I am trying to fix my sleep schedule - naturally it is delayed and my body 'prefers' to sleep during the day.  However, the data was similar to other nights, just less of it.  I have excluded the 'snoring' graph as it was 0 for the whole night.  Without a machine I snore very loudly.

Secondly, I have attached a period during which I would say my breathing is normal.  To make it clear, I have only a basic understanding of how to interpret these graphs.

Finally, I have included a section during which my breathing was irregular; these occur throughout the night intermittently.

Thank you,
Christopher
