Not able to open Oscar on a Window 10 machine - John70 - 06-19-2022

Hello,

Yesterday I received the "Apnea Board News" regarding changes made to Oscar.

I downloaded the OSCAR Version 1.4.0 now I am no longer able to open Oscar.
I have read the problem others were having with the download. I tried downloading to a new user JohnH rather than utahj, it did not work. (no firewall, new location, deleted data file then restored, rebooted computer several times) 4/hours later I decided to ask the Apnea Board for help.

So much for upgrades.

I am willing to start with a new install and delete the existing Oscar Data files if necessary.

Thanks,

John

Twenty question time...
  1. What user account type is utahj, Administrator or Standard user?
  2. Did you install OSCAR as Administrator?
  3. Does the OSCAR_Data directory actually reside in your Documents directory?
  4. If you are using an antivirus program, did you disable it during the installation?
  5. Did you go through the installation steps in the Wiki on installing on a Windows PC?
