Masticating muscles and OSA - nachumk - 06-29-2022

Anyone look into the relationship between masticating muscles and obstructive sleep apnea? I'm currently trying to identify this more clearly, but seems to me that the relationship exists. I also found an abstract about a paper on this topic: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9781863/

My research into neck pain and ear pain / TMJ over the past 2 years has led me to some interesting discoveries, but the latest is that I have some OSA and I'm starting to believe it also relates to jaw muscles. I'd love to hear anyone else's thoughts on this or if you think this is all bunk.

Thanks,
Noah
