Is my Cpap Not working correclty? - chad10splayer - 07-31-2022

I have a resmed air sense 10.

I've used both a full mask and no only.

Air only blows in when my when I breath in.  If I'm not taking a breath the air has little to no pressure.

Is this normal?

Chad

The CPAP does exactly what the name says. It maintains constant pressure. Flow is only provided for respiration and leaks (intentional and non-intentional). If you pull the mask away from your face, there will be a rush of flow as the machine attempts to maintain pressure. I may seem like there is no flow but your full face mask flows nearly 30 L/min, even with a good fit.
