o2 ring shows no apneas - goku - 09-22-2022 I did a couple of days of testing and I see 0 drops, basically no apneas. Thoughts? I was surprised to see 0 drops since if I have my jaw in a relaxed position, my air pathway gets blocked. I think I would ideally need jaw surgery, but since aesthetically it's not something very noticeable, I was looking into getting a CPAP and see how I tolerate that. But basically, at least o2ring shows no apneas during the days I tested it (I did like 5 days, all look similar to above). My theory is that I don't enter a full REM state where im totally asleep and unaware of my jaw position. I have difficulties falling asleep. I think my sleep is just not deep enough to cause apneas, do you know what I mean? I would need to get further tests. What do I need to ask for to get this checked? Like get a chart that also tells you if you are in REM or not, etc. I need further studies, from someone with the equipment and that knows what they are doing. The problem is finding a professional that really goes deep into details and actually researches stuff. Whenever I visit a dr I feel like im about to get scammed. Im going to see what I can find in the sleep deparment and see what they do. RE: o2 ring shows no apneas - Sleeprider - 09-22-2022 Looks good. How was your sleep? I see lots of people with sleep disordered breathing that don't desat. That is more of an insurance trick to disqualify people from reimbursement. A sleep test without EEG to determine sleep stage is kind of useless. This one also lacks any respiratory flow, so not a valid test. RE: o2 ring shows no apneas - staceyburke - 09-23-2022 A drop in O2 does not mean an apnea. Here is one of my charts - plenty of o2 drop but no apnea. I also have o2 not dropping but apnea is there. |
