How can I improve my sleep further (OSCAR attached)? - ebiebi - 02-22-2023

Hi all,

Background:
- Side sleeper
- Using nasal mask currently. Looking to try Brevida Nasal Pillow Mask next.
- Rarely have issue with mouth breathing. No need chin strap also.

I still do not feel that refreshed in the morning.

Any idea how can I improve based on the OSCAR report attached?
CA response needs improvement?

Thank you so much for the experts advice here!  like Thanks

Attaching one more night of OSCAR sleep data.

Should I reduce my EPR from 2 to 1 to improve my CA?
My min and max pressure need any adjustment?

EPR is doing nothing for you with your minimum pressure at 4 cm.
Try raising the minimum to 6 or 7 cm and set EPR at 1. You shouldn't need more than that with low pressures like this. You might try raising your maximum to 12 cm or so to see if the machine needs a higher cap.

My first inclination was to increase EPR from 2 to 3 to address residual flow limits, which are relatively low on average, but seem to rise in clusters. Instead, I think you should increase your minimum pressure from 4.0 to 6.0 so that you get a consistent delivery of EPR and more constant pressure, especially as you start therapy. Thee are some episodes of periodic breathing, usually associated with flow limitation. I think this is positional, and the advise would be to watch sleep positions that can misalign your airway, but it might be useful to look closer at what is going on. Take at look on 2/20 at 02:20 or 02/21 at 00:40 for examples. There are quite a few other places where this occurs, and they seem to initiate when your pressure is below 6.0.

Thank you both the kind suggestions!

Will try increasing the min pressure to 6 first and see how it goes!
