Need help with selecting new mask - Jeffbhhs - 03-05-2023

So I am new to Cpap therapy and have been on for a little over a month. I have tried quite a few masks and cannot find anything that works great!

I have tried dreamwear nasal fusion, pillows, and ffm.
Tried ResMed n20 AirTouch and f20 AirTouch and airfit.

And latest ResMed p30i and n30i

The n30i is the most comfortable, but the headgear is awful and slides a lot causing leaking

All of the nasal only masks work significantly better than the full face for me, but I am having mouth leaks through the night, waking up with dry mouth/throat.

I am looking to purchase a F&P Evora ffm or Vitera ffm.

Which would be the better choice for me?

Thank you in advance!

Jeffbhhs;
Have You looked at the Resmed F 30 ..
It uses headgear similer to the F 20 Airfit ..
It doesn't go over the bridge of Your nose ..
The F 30 covers Your mouth and the end of
Your nose ..
I have not used one but read Your post saying
You liked the N 30 except for the headgear ..
  Check it out ..

     Good Luck ..     Steve

I see you mentioned the F&P Evora FFM or Vitera FFM. My facial structure seems to favor the F&P designs over the comparable Resmed version. Based on my experience, the F&P line requires less tension to obtain a good seal. Selecting the brand and mask style is very subjective. What woks great for one person can be a disaster for another.

I am a tough person to mask fit.  I will second the F&P Vitera as a great mask.  Best fit I've had of any full-face mask and as the other poster said not a huge amount of tension is needed relative to ResMed FFM options I've used.

I also started using a deluxe chin strap and that helped a decent amount with my mouth leaks from jaw dropping.  Not sure if that is an issue for you, but worth considering.  I liked the Vitera considerably more than another option I tried in the F&P line years ago.  It was not Evora.  I'm trying to recall the mask name.

The Vitera's predecessor was/is the Simplus. The Simplus is still available, too.

Thanks everyone I ended up ordering the Vitera hoping that works well!

The first mask I was sent was a Vitera full.  I later tried the Resmed and F&P hybrids.  I ended up using the F&P Hybrid which is the Evora full.  Fits over mouth and tip of nose.  Has worked well for me.  Suggest you give it a try.
