Lost and Confused. - Mycpapaccount - 03-16-2023

Hi all.

I have been using my resmed 11 for about 3 months now. My results have been all over the place, and I'm getting frustrated. I recently had an appointment with my doctor and he was just as confused as I am. He did not have an answer, and basically want's me to follow up in a couple months, and will order a in lab study (initial study was at home) if my results don't improve. I just want to wake up and feel rested, I don't care if my AHI is 1000. XD

I was wondering if someone could look at some of my screenshots and see if they have any ideas as to what can help. I am mainly seeing clear airway events and mixes of other things. I am normal weight 5'10 143 pounds. Let me know if any info can help. Thanks!

I have attached 3 screenshots of varying results.

Hi Mycpapaccount!  -  Welcome

You are experiencing a lot of CAs.  Since using the EPR option can contribute to these type of events by washing out your CO2 levels, I would recommend that you turn it off.  Flow limitations can increase without the EPR. Because the Resmed increases its pressure based on flow limitations, I would set your pressure range to 7 min to 8 max, and turn off the ramp feature.  Most adults will feel like they are suffocating on any pressure below 7 cm., while limiting the maximum pressure to reduce the possibility of arousals due to large pressure changes.  These settings should provide enough information to see if we are on the correct track.  Based on the amount of your CA events, a machine change may ultimately be required.  I am trying to see if your current model will provide enough flexibility before going any further.

Good luck!
