Resmed S9 VPAP Adapt ASV vs VPAP ST - stanleyjack - 04-05-2023 Goddam, sorry for the cursing, but I just purchased what was advertised as a ASV Adapt, but it looks like the wrong model entirely Could someone help me confirm RE: Resmed S9 VPAP Adapt ASV vs VPAP ST - Sleeprider - 04-05-2023 That is a VPAP ST which is a fixed pressure bilevel with a backup rate. Not even close to ASV, but many doctors actuallly use the ST to treat ST improperly. Because it is fixed bilevel pressure, it can make central apnea worse by washing out CO2, but with a backup rate, it sometimes can cause breaths during central apnea. The Resmed Clinical Titration Protocol describes all of the different machines, their intended use and how to titrate. Where did this come from? RE: Resmed S9 VPAP Adapt ASV vs VPAP ST - stanleyjack - 04-05-2023 It was a company in the UK, I will give them a chance to right things before naming them. My hope is that they just packed the wrong model. Really disappointing, I had an awful sleep last night and have been sitting here waiting for the delivery in the hope of going up to bed and maybe catching some Z's. RE: Resmed S9 VPAP Adapt ASV vs VPAP ST - stanleyjack - 04-05-2023 Update, seems they packaged the wrong model and was a genuine mistake. RE: Resmed S9 VPAP Adapt ASV vs VPAP ST - Sleeprider - 04-05-2023 Hope you have the right on in your hands soon. You will be amazed. |
