Help reading data Now getting central apneas? - ttrani01 - 04-12-2023

[attachment=49766] So i am new to cpap this is my 3rd night and this was the first night i actually got more than 2 or 3 hours worth of sleep. When I did my sleep study i had no or next to no central apneas now it seems I am having more central apneas and a few obsstructive apneas in a row. If anyone could look at my data and give me some advice id appreciate it. I am using a resmed airsense 10 with p10 nasal pillows on a pressure of 9 with humidity.

Welcome to the forum.

Your flow limits are higher than we like to see. I'd like to try using a comfort feature to see if we can lower those.
Set EPR=3,full-time.
Note that this may increase your centrals but the only way we can know is to try it.

Hmm what are flow limits? Setting epr to 3 full time could help that? Is it to due with me not handling the breathing out part very well? I can definitely try that.

Titration 101
Exhale pressure is what manages OA events.
An inhale pressure above the exhale pressure, pressure support is what best manages hypopneas, RERAS, and flow limitations.

EPR lowers the (Inhale) pressure by a set amount resulting in the difference between exhale and inhale pressures

Basically saying an AutoSet with the right settings to match a VAUTO will perform identically to your AutoSet. This is a good thing for you.t
