Ripping my mask off in the middle of the night - MrShredX - 04-24-2023 I've had my Airsense 11 for a little less than a year now. I managed to get around 3-4 hours per night regularly with the occasional 6 hour night. For the past 2-3 months I've simply been ripping the mask off in the middle of the night, in my sleep. I have no awareness of it. I'm not quite sure what is happening. I typically get up to use the restroom once or twice a night, but I've usually ripped the mask off and thrown it in the floor by then vs taking it off knowingly and putting it back on. I can count on my hands the times I've managed to do that. I'm 44, 6'4", 240lbs and I'm using a ResMed F30i with my Airsense 11. Range is 5 - 15 and I have tried the EPR on and off. I have it set to ramp up as well. Thoughts? I feel much better when I get above 4-5 hours. I have severe obstructive apnea and a deviated septum...I have a hard time breathing through my nose 100% of the time, but I can. Thoughts? I'm at my wits end and my insurance company wants to take back my machine. RE: Ripping my mask off in the middle of the night - Apnea23 - 04-24-2023 I think your doctor is a quack. Where did your provider get this range of 5-15 from with your height/weight and severity of OHA? With 5-15 and ramp on, therapy has no chance. You're ripping that mask off to breath. Please get Oscar and post data for the experts to advise on. My GP ordered the sleep study (at home and an in person test) and then prescribed the machine / settings. I just realized my machine has no SD card in it, so I need to go buy one of those |
