I'm new and I need your advice, thank you. - Sp4nter - 04-27-2023 Hey! I am new here and I'm so glad that I found this community! I've been having sleep roblems for a very long time, don't know what is the root behind it. I wake up multiple times during the night for no reason, I wake up, change my sleep position and feel asleep again it occurs up to 10 times every night - I don't wake up breathless and I don't have headaches in the morning - just terrible fatigue all the time. I'm 29 yo male, 150 lbs 5'7 I had a sleep study in the hospital and the doctor found nothing - but I slept for only 1,5 hour. I did a sleep study at home a few months later which was more comfortable and I slept for 5-6 hours that night but again there weren't anything wrong with my sleep. The doctor who watched my home sleep study results is a very experienced doctor and he told me that he tried to be as strict as possible, he found some hypopnea but he also said that everyone breath more shallowly during sleep - and he told me that my AHI is 4.5 (being very strict) and added that I didn't have sleep apnea. So why do I wake up many times every night for no reason I feel so tired every day for 4 years. My bed sheet is rolled up every morning and my sister laughts that I must have rls thats why my bed sheet looks like that every morning and that's is the root of my spontaneous awakenings. She was joking but maybe she has a point? It is a photo from my sleep study I did at the hospital, for me there are a lot of leg movements and awakenings, dont you think? I only slept for 1,5 hour that day. I'd be very grateful for any advice, thank you so much! This will report how many OAs, CAs and Hypopneas and in which sleeping position. - Red RE: I'm new and I need your advice, thank you. - Sp4nter - 04-27-2023 Another pic :-) I slept only for 1,5 hour, my doctor told me that he sometimes need only 30 minutes to diagnose sleep apnea. I am really curious about leg movements and awakenings, it looks weird to me. RE: I'm new and I need your advice, thank you. - cdplatt - 04-27-2023 You slept for 1.5 hours? If I'm reading your sleep study properly, it indicates 546 minutes or 9 hours of sleeping time and 175 arousals from sleep. None of those arousals were reported as apnea. 22 were due to leg movement. The remaining 153 arousals don't have an identified cause. You may need to have more discussions with your doctor about the problem. I doubt you will get a satisfactory answer on the apnea forum.
