Ffm requires higher pressures - yankees123 - 05-13-2023 I usually use the bleep eclipse and my ahi is almost always below 1 with no major leaks. I like to sometimes take a break from mouth taping and use the Evora full face mask. I get no leaks with it but my epap pressure is always significantly higher and my ahi is significantly higher. I have read that using a ffm does require higher epap pressures, but even when I set the pressure higher than when I use the bleep it still will reach close to the maximum pressure. RE: Ffm requires higher pressures - yankees123 - 05-15-2023 Anyone have any input on this question? RE: Ffm requires higher pressures - Crimson Nape - 05-15-2023 The set pressure is the same for a nasal pillow style and an FFM. The difference is a perceived feeling. The difference is the pressure is higher inside the nose compared to the outside using a mask that does not completely cover the nose. One plus of using a pillow style mask is providing the pressure difference acting like a Breathe Right strip, splinting the nasal cavity. - Red. |
