New User Requesting Help with My OSCAR Data - CarlitosBrown - 06-12-2023

Hi everyone! New to the board but have been on CPAP therapy for the last two years. How's it going? So I was hoping to get some help if you would be so kind interpreting my OSCAR data. Being new to the board I am not sure how or where to ask so I am making this thread. Is it as simple as me posting screenshots of the data in this thread or other? Your help and patience is appreciated. Have a good one!

Welcome to ApneaBoard!

Yes, it's that simple.   Post a Screenshot from the daily page in OSCAR.
You can use this thread.

Set your display to the Standard view.
(View > Reset Graphs > Standard)

Take a screenshot of your Daily screen.
   * For Windows or Linux: Use the F12 key
   * For a Mac: Use Fn+F12

After you have organized your graph, use the Attachment Feature to post it here.

There are links in my signature line to guide you.

Here are my daily overview screenshots from my OSCAR data. Please let me know if further info is necessary. Thank you so much in advance!!

Your data looks pretty decent. Your pressure stays steady, but you do show high flow limitation. Along with that, we see Hypopnea and RERA events. All of these can be disruptive to sleep.

You don't really say if you're sleeping well or how you feel in general, as that is most important.

Your AHI is good, but I believe you could move the minimum pressures up to 7cm.
Keep the flex setting at 2. The slightly higher pressure may help diminish some of the flow limitation and hypopnea.

Try it for a couple days and repost.

So unfortunately I can't change the pressure myself. Can only be done by a sleep doc though I am seeing one in two weeks. So bring up changing from 6 to 7?

So far as how I feel after sleeping...I would say usually...just ok. I have only woken up feeling totally refreshed from sleep over the past two years once. So I definitely feel like something needed tweaking. So, in your opinion, the minimum pressure setting should be boosted to 7? And a lower pressure may have been leading to hypopneas and RERAs?

To be clear.
You can change the settings yourself. You can choose not to.

Request the CPAP setup manuals for your dreamstation via the link at the top of the page.

Your numbers are really good, but I agree with Opal that you would likely benefit from a slight increase in your min pressure.

Oh wow, yes! I found the link! Thank you so much! I had no idea this was possible! I changed the minimum pressure to 7. I will experiment with that for 10 to 14 days and see how that feels. Thank you all so much again! You've been so helpful.
