Please review my data and help me adjust my settings - DC2Shogun - 07-07-2023 Hi everyone, I've been on CPAP for over a year now, couldn't get used to the full face mask so switched to the nasal mask but my symptoms just got worse and worse. I've switched back to the full face mask a few days ago as I'm desperate to try and improve my situation. I'll share last nights data here, if anyone can take a look and give me some recommendations. I do feel better than when I was using the nasal mask, but I'm still not feeling that great. RE: Please review my date and help me adjust my settings - OpalRose - 07-09-2023 Turn the EPR setting down to either 2 or 1. Try 2 first. That may be enough to help with CA's and also bring your EPAP up. EPAP is what sprints the airway open, and may also help with Obstructives. Are you able to use OSCAR? It's much easier to interpret. RE: Please review my date and help me adjust my settings - sptrout - 07-09-2023 Just curious; you are obviously using SleepHQ for showing your data. Did you post your question over there? In this case, users their can more easily view your data. BTW - - I do not necessarily agree with OpalRose that OSCAR is easier to read than SleepHQ. I use both, they show the same thing, but SHQ has options to display results on any Internet capable device. I do recommend that whichever software you use (why not use both?) that you post your results and questions on the Board of whichever program that you use. RE: Please review my date and help me adjust my settings - David Clark - 07-09-2023 Instead of a SleepHQ screenshot you could share a link so users here can actually look in depth at your data. Or you could download OSCAR. RE: Please review my date and help me adjust my settings - DC2Shogun - 07-10-2023 Hi everyone, thanks for the help, apologies I didn't realise I could share a SHQ link, I put the EPR down to 1, but seems like things got worse, I did have a high large leak time though so I might need to tighten the mask up to help with that, any other suggestions? Here is the link for last night with EPR set to 1. sleephq.com/public/4ff9efad-ed87-4119-af4e-1aa16dab56f2 RE: Please review my data and help me adjust my settings - DC2Shogun - 07-11-2023 Hi everyone, I put my pressure up last night as it felt low, still having a lot of CA. sleephq.com/public/d9e12580-603f-4fc8-93d5-5142cb224248 RE: Please review my date and help me adjust my settings - OpalRose - 07-11-2023 (07-09-2023, 06:48 AM)OpalRose Wrote: Turn the EPR setting down to either 2 or 1. I stand by my advice above. The preference here on Apnea Board is to use OSCAR if you're able. There are links in my signature line to guide you. RE: Please review my data and help me adjust my settings - DC2Shogun - 07-16-2023 Hi, please find attached my data from last night on OSCAR. I still feel quite dreadful. I've bought a soft cervical collar and will try a night with that and post the data. RE: Please review my data and help me adjust my settings - OpalRose - 07-16-2023 As I stated earlier, moving the pressure up may cause more CA's, and that looks to be the case. First, let's use EPR 1, and bring the pressure setting back to 10.4 If that doesn't bring the CA's down, then turn the EPR to Off. The leaks may be causing disruptions to your sleep. Any leaking can cause a bad night. That needs to be fixed. If you're mouth breathing, or your jaw is falling open, the collar might help. If not, you can try taping. RE: Please review my data and help me adjust my settings - DC2Shogun - 07-16-2023 Hi, I'll give that a try tonight and report back tomorrow. Also I thought since I'm now wearing a full face mask that mouth breathing wouldn't be an issue since the mouth is covered as well? |
