Q-lite Muffler to AirMini Mask Adapter Availability?? - mcman56 - 07-14-2023 Can you buy an adapter to go from a Q-lite muffler to the AirMini Mask tubing? I found an adaptor to go from the AirMini base unit to a Q-lite (or standard hose) but do not see one to go from the Q-lite back to the AirMini mask. RE: Q-lite Muffler to AirMini Mask Adapter Availability?? - terroir - 05-11-2024 I too am having the same issue. I found a magnetic one on youtube but it requires cutting hose, which I'd prefer not to do. Were you able to find a fix? Thanks RE: Q-lite Muffler to AirMini Mask Adapter Availability?? - mcman56 - 05-11-2024 I did not. Prior top even trying the muffler, I realized that the non-air related noise was already too loud for me so returned the air mini. I do wish I could find a quiet portable. Later I did see a variety of adapters on ebay or maybe amazon but don't know if they are applicable. RE: Q-lite Muffler to AirMini Mask Adapter Availability?? - terroir - 05-12-2024 Was it too loud for you from the machine itself, or from the mask? I'm trying to fix it from the mask side (hence the muffler). My solution to noisy machines has been to get a longer set of hoses and put the machine under the bed RE: Q-lite Muffler to AirMini Mask Adapter Availability?? - CandyGoil - 07-31-2024 Hello! Don't give up on your AirMini + Q-lite muffler just yet! This does require some purchasing before a trip, but it'll be worth it. (BTW: I just attached my Q-lite muffler with a generic hose to the AirMini. It is not a heated hose, although you may be able to buy a generic one.) Here are the items I bought to make the Q-lite muffler work: 1. resplabs CPAP Hose Adapter - ResMed AirMini Compatible Universal Tubing Connector $9.99 on Amazon. 2. Universal CPAP Hose by Snugell (6ft) – Compatible with All Major CPAP Machines and Most CPAP BiPap, and BiLevel Device Brands on Amazon. $8.49 3. I use an N20 mask that goes over the nose. A new packaged mask comes with one of these elbow tubes, but you may have to buy one for this situation if you're using a generic hose: N20 Replacement Short Tube W/Elbow ________________ NOTE: I also bought the following for even flow of air: SleepRes V-Com | Inspiratory Comfort, Flow-Generating Device $30 I also bought an inline moisture thingee instead of using the Airmini-specific disc. These come in packs of 6 or so. ~$18 HERE IS THE VIDEO from the RESPSHOP EXPLAINED MOST OF THESE SUGGESTIONS FROM ABOVE: Search for this: AirMini too Loud? Top 3 Tips The ResMed AirMini can be a noisy little bugger! Here are 3 ways to tackle the noise level to get you a better night of sleep! I wasn't allowed to add links in this post, so I copied exact wording from Amazon Best of luck! Cynthia |
