OSCAR for Ubuntu Linux "blocked and dangerous" - edgreenberg - 07-16-2023 Running Ubuntu 22.10 and Chrome Version 114.0.5735.198 (Official Build) (64-bit) Chrome says that all the Ubuntu downloads are "Blocked and Dangerous." Any ideas? Ed RE: OSCAR for Ubuntu Linux "blocked and dangerous" - Jeff8356 - 07-16-2023 Ed, Double check that you are on the official download page, the link is in the black banner at the top of this page. Those downloads are perfectly safe. There should be some type of window that opens in Chrome that will allow you to approve the download, or the website. Or try right clicking on the download link and choose "Save link as". RE: OSCAR for Ubuntu Linux "blocked and dangerous" - untoutseul05 - 07-16-2023 The EOL (End Of Life) of the 22.10 is July,20 2023 --> You are supposed to use the 23.10. If you want to use the same version during 2 years, use LTS (Long Term Support) : The last one is 22.04. Then, use the official repositories and install chromium (package name is chromium-browser) instead of chrome. I don't think Chrome is in the official repositories. Have you download it ? If yes, which web site ? RE: OSCAR for Ubuntu Linux "blocked and dangerous" - edgreenberg - 07-17-2023 I found that the program is in the Ubuntu repositories, so my personal download wasn't needed. That said, it was definitely "blocked and dangerous" without an override available. It was a Chrome issue since Firefox took the download without problem. So I'm installed, and last night ran my Airsense 11 for the first time with an SD card, so we'll see what we can see Best, Ed I plan to upgrade to 22.10 this week. I will probably do this until 22.04 and then stick with that. Nonetheless, (a) this was a Chrome problem, downloaded from the official Google supplied Chrome repo and (b) I found the program in the 22.10 channel and installed that. Best, Ed |
