OSCAR "Most recent" AHI doesn't match " Changes to Device Settings" - macbob - 07-19-2023

Got a new machine (AirSense 11) to replace my AirSense 10 that was saying it had exceeded it's motor life.

I didn't realize that I had to format the SD card from my old machine, so the AirSense 11 didn't record any data for my first night's usage.

I formatted the card, and put it into the AirSense 11, which copied the summary data to the SD, and then I imported the summary data into Oscar.

In the CPAP Statistics section under Most Recent, it shows an AHI of 0.40.

Down in the Changes to Device Settings section it shows an AHI of 0.28 for one day on the AirSense 11

Oh, and the Sleep Report on the AirSense 11 itself said my AHI was 0.50.

Any thoughts on why the differences would be greatly appreciated.

I'm uploading a screen shot of my summary screen.

What reporting period do you have the AS11 set to? Is it a new, 0 hour. machine? If not, did you totally reset it to remove any previous data. What does your Daily screen report for the one night's worth of data?

The AirSense was a new, 0 hour machine.

I didn't have a daily screen, because I hadn't known I needed to reformat the SD card before using in the new machine.

When I saw that the SD card had no data for the first night with the new machine, I checked here and discovered I needed to reformat the card.

I reformatted the card in my computer, replaced it in the machine, and then downloaded the summary data from the SD card (no detailed data was available) into Oscar.

That is understandable. The SD card has to be in the CPAP during its use to record detail data. Make sure it is in the CPAP tonight and download the data in the AM.

I am, and the SD card is recording again.

The question, though, was why the AHI for the "Most Recent" columnt at the top of the screen was different from the AHI in the "Changes to the Device" section.

Both were representing values from Tue, 18 Jul.

Since there was only 1 day of data in both, I thought they would read the same number, but one said 0.4 and the other said 0.28.

If they're both representing the AHI after one day of use, shouldn't the AHIs have been the same???

Old thread, but:

As I understand it (because I have an entire year of "before I put in the SD card" summary data) the machine stores up to a year of basic summary data (no daily view) and the "changes to device settings" area reflects that. So if you have one day of detailed data and one day of use before you got detailed data, the summary area should say Days 2 and report the average of the days, including the non-detailed day. When you put the card in (properly formatted) the stored data goes onto it. This is apparently the same data that gets uploaded "over the air" if you have a modem enabled, if I understand that correctly - and it's quite limited.

You can look at the Overview page to see what is included in the summary data; AHI, Usage, Session time and Pressure Settings. The usage graph will be gray on non-detailed days. Pressure settings are shown, (blue/yellow) but pressure stats (red) are not. This is also the data you get for days you forget to put the SD card back in the machine.
