Can posture cause UARS? Should I go straight for CPAP? - frigid - 07-20-2023 Hi all, I have been dealing with fatigue, brain fog, poor concentration, etc. for 6-7 years now and have had terrible throat/neck/shoulder tension in that time as well. I suspect the two are connected, just not sure which one is causing the other. I'm awaiting the full results of my sleep study, but the top-level results were: AHI: 4.8 RDI: 16.4 O2 Saturation Min: 91 # of O2 Desaturation Events Between 4-9%: 34 The low AHI/higher RDI is what I believe is UARS (though I'm still new to this and, frankly, overwhelmed with information. So please correct me if I'm wrong). Is it possible that fixing my posture/fixing my muscle issue will improve the UARS? I'd have to pay for a CPAP machine out-of-pocket, so I'd love to avoid doing that if possible. I am male, 29yo, not overweight and don't snore, FWIW. Thanks in advance, and look forward to providing more info when it arrives. RE: Can posture cause UARS? Should I go straight for CPAP? - frigid - 07-20-2023 As if on cue, my full results are here. Should I go straight for CPAP? - frigid - 07-21-2023 As a follow up question - I was recommended to get an APAP machine like the Resmed 11. Looking at my chart, does that seem right? Sorry, feeling very overwhelmed! |
