Lots of Hyponea/Apnea a few hours before I wake up? Help - tierdal - 07-28-2023 any reason I am suddenly getting all these end of night events? I start out with basically nothing and then they just pile on. please see attached RE: Lots of Hyponea/Apnea a few hours before I wake up? Help - Lucky7 - 10-12-2023 Looks like you might be in REM. Should come every 90 minutes. Last REM period is typically longer. Turn off EPR, or wean off of it. Like, turn down to 2 for awhile, then 1, etc. See if you can reduce the leak rate. HTH. RE: Lots of Hyponea/Apnea a few hours before I wake up? Help - gainerfull - 10-12-2023 What is up with your leaks? Should be your number one priority to fix - especially if you're using nasal pillows it's likely your mouth is opening at night. Ideally you want to target a 0.00 95% leak rate but it may take mouth tape or a chin strap to get there. It looks like your minimum pressure plus full-time EPR in combination make your exhalation pressure too low to control RERA, obstructive and hypopnea events. Turning down EPR as Lucky 7 mentioned *could* work because it would effectively raise your pressure but I'm more in favor of increasing your minimum pressure by 1cmH20 until you stop seeing so many events, especially obstructive (light blue). 4cmH20 is the lowest the machine can go so it's no surprise that your sleep disordered breathing cannot be controlled at that level. |
