New 2 Sleep Apnea - iwrk4dedpr - 08-23-2023

Hello,

My name is Barry and I'm 50+ and just having to start again with a CPAP machine.

At the moment don't have a machine so will be looking for advice on who to choose a machine that fits me.
-  As a diabetic I'm data driven in how to manage my diabetes so data downloading and viewing is important.
-  Because I'm data driven I want to make sure I have a platform that the end user can adjust.
-  At the moment I'm without a PC so I need to have a system to access to something like OSCAR which I've heard about never used, but it has to work on a "CHROME NETBOOK" type platform.

- Looking for advice to take to the people when I get to choose the machine and mask style .... what do I need to know and ask.

What other advice do you have for the "BRAND NEW" user.

Regards,
Barry

Assuming you need CPAP, get a Resmed Airsense 10 or 11 Autoset. Chrome netbook may be limiting on what you see, but SleepHQ has adapted a wireless means of importing data to Oscar and displaying it on their site.

OSCAR will run on a Chromebook that can run the Linux subsystem. To check, go to Settings and scroll down to Advanced and click on it. If you can, you will need at least a 4 GB space for the Linux 'Disk', and 8 GB is better, depending on the total available to the Chromebook. The Wiki Has more information.
