Oura Ring Sleep Stats with CPAP - FooMan - 09-03-2023 Hi, I am a new CPAP user ~2m, and since I started my Oura sleep stats shows basically no deep sleep at all. Pretty much every night. Anyone have the same experience or otherwise? I'm not so sure my overall sleep has improved because it's taken some time to get used to. In the first month I used to take off the mask in my sleep after about 2-3h. Now that I can keep it on for ~5 hours straight I still haven't seen any deep sleep cycles. I am not sure if Oura's sleep algorithm gets tripped up because the CPAP to some extent regulates breathing. While my sleep is better in some ways, definitely dreaming a lot more, a few others I feel like it's deteriorated. For instance I never sleep more than 5h straight. Wake up for 1-1.5 hours before I can sleep a little more again. Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance, Fouad RE: Oura Ring Sleep Stats with CPAP - dystonic - 10-28-2023 I've found my oura ring has been representative of the quality and amount of sleep i've been getting off the cpap. have you tried pulling your data into OSCAR and looking at it that way? A positive review (youtube on the @TheQuantifiedScientist channel) he posted a 1/12/24 dated video called: Scientific Sleep Test: Oura, Fitbit/Google, Mi Band (More? = Better?) ) I am thinking about buying a ring. but i want to be able to get the data into Oscar as well. It seems like the .csv file exported by their app is limited to 5 minutes ... or some such confusion was gleaned on another forum. I found this site: https://www.openhumans.org/activity/oura-connect/ which seems to somehow bypass the direct full export from Oura limitation. Oscar still imports from "dead" technology such as Zeo, and Dreem but i do not directly see the import of Oura .csv yet. So maybe there is not enough interest in the cpap community to add support for this sleep stage data. Incidentally, the new Dreem 3 is currently only available in California so far in their clinical trials... When my Zeo "died" i bought a Resmed SleepScore S+ then later upgraded to Sleepscore Max. Last i checked Resmed does not support the downloading of their data to .CSV nor do they link their data to the Resmed Air app. I could manually type the start/stop into Oscar - however, I am not sure how that would be done, and it would be tedious. Comments/feedback from other Oura owners would be helpful here. TIA |
